Y’lan Noel was born on May 21, 1988, in Brooklyn New York. He is of Panamanian descent from his mother’s side.
He was raised in Southside, Jamaica, Queens, New York, and later Stone Mountain, Georgia, where he studied at Morehouse College in Atlanta.
He transferred to New York University’s Tisch School of Arts, but quit altogether to pursue his acting career.
