Resign From Uber And Started CloudKitchens

The Uber compelled the billionaire to resign from his CEO post in June 2017. He was accused of negligence. As per the reports, he was aware of all the sexual misconduct happening in the Uber world and yet he did not do anything. After leaving the firm, he sold 30% of his shares for $1.4 billion to Japanese investment conglomerate, Softbank.

Then in May 2019, Kalanick’s Uber holding stock was worth $4.9 million. Later, he sold 3.7 million stocks at IPO which generated almost $17 million in cash. In December 2018, he is done by selling all his shares.

Travis sold around $2.5 billion in stock in order to begin a new venture, CloudKitchens. In November 2019, as per the reports, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund had a contract to invest $400 million in the company.

Additionally, the firm was successful in raising $60 million for expansion in 2020. Also, the business icon Travis has invested $300 million in the startup of the venture. Besides that, he also made an announcement that he would begin a venture fund, 101000 (‘ten-one-hundred’) via Twitter on March 7, 2018.
