Stacy was born Walter Stacy Keach Jr. on June 2, 1941, in Savannah, Georgia. He is 79 years old and stands at 5 feet 11½ inches (1.82 meters).

The fact that Stacy Keach became an actor might have been a foregone conclusion considering his mother, Mary Cain Peckham, was an actress; and his father, Walter Stacy Keach Sr., was an actor, theatre director, and drama teacher.
