Robert De Niro invested in the money he earned from acting in the Hospitality industry. He co-founded a restaurant called Nobu in 1994 with Nobuyuki Matsuhisa and Meir Teper.

Robert Anthony De Niro Jr. was born on August 17, 1943, in Manhattan, New York to Virginia Admiral and Robert De Niro Sr. His father was a well-recognized painter and impressionist.
His father’s side of the family belonged to Irish and Italian ancestry, and his mother came from Dutch, English, French, and Germany descent. His parents divorced when he was two years old after his father came out as a homosexual man.
De Niro frequently changed school but never managed to graduate from high school.
The actor has been married twice, once to Diahnne Abbott whom he met on the set of the movie Taxi Driver and married in 1976. De Niro also adopted Abbott’s daughter Drena De Niro from her previous relationship. The marriage lasted 12 years before ending up in a divorce in 1988.
De Niro had a rocky relationship with his second wife, Grace Hightower. He married Hightower in 1997 and had a son Elliot with her in 1998. In 2016, De Niro opened up about his son Elliot having autism. The couple split in 1999 never finalizing their divorce and renewed their vows in 2004 and had a daughter in 2011 through surrogacy. De Niro and Hightower split again in 2018.
Robert De Niro has two more kids with the model Toukie Smith in 1995. The twin kids were conceived via Vitro-fertilization and delivered by a surrogate mother.
