Nick Saban was born on 31st October 1951, in Fairmont, West Virginia, to Nick Lou Saban Sr. and Mary Saban. He also has a sister named Dianna Thompson.
He attended Monongah High School, in the small community of Monongah. He was a quarterback on the 1968 West Virginia state championship team. He later went on to play for West Virginia Mountaineers.
Nick joined Kent State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business in 1973. Furthermore, he also obtained his master’s degree in sports administration from the aforementioned University in 1975.
