Naomi Ellen Watts was born to Myfanwy Edwards and Peter Watts in Shoreham, Kent England on September 28, 1968. Her mother was an antique dealer and her father Peter was the road manager and the sound engineer for Pink Floyd.
Her father died due to a heroin overdose when Naomi was only eight years old. After that, her mother migrated to Australia taking Naomi with her. Watts attended North Sydney Girls High School but failed to graduate and started working part-time jobs in Sydney’s North Shore.
