He found success on-screen with roles in movies like The Turning Point and White Nights, and TV shows like Sex and the City and Doll & Em.

Mikhail Baryshnikov Net Worth: Wealth and Salary Breakdown
Mikhail started training for ballet once he turned 11. Throughout much of the ’60s and the early ’70s, Baryshnikov performed at a very high level and garnered praise outside of the Soviet Union.
Combined with his growing international appeal and the constrictions on creative expression in the Soviet Union, Baryshnikov defected to Canada in June 1974 and performed briefly for the National Ballet of Canada.
He performed as the principal dancer for four years with the American Ballet Theatre from 1974 to 1978 before committing to the New York City Ballet for fifteen months.
Once his dancing career was winding down, Baryshnikov found work as the artistic director at the American Ballet Theatre and the White Oak Dance Project.

He also starred in the 1985 drama movie, White Nights, alongside Gregory Hines, Helen Mirren, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Isabella Rossellini.
