Michael Rapaport was born on March 20, 1970, in New York City, New York. He is the son of June Brody, a radio personality, and David Rapaport, a radio program manager. He holds American nationality and ethnicity wise; he is of Polish Jewish and Russian Jewish descent.
He grew up in Manhattan with his brother Eric Rapaport. He also has an older half-sister named Claudia Lonow, an actress and TV writer.
