Lathan Moses Stanley Echols was born on January 25, 2002, in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. Echols was raised by a single mother in Seattle.

Echols got into music at a young age despite his mother’s insistence that he find another career trajectory. He eventually dropped out of high school to pursue his passion, much to the chagrin of his mother.

She did, however, warm up to her son being a rapper and they have a good, nurturing relationship.
