Lamorne Morris was born on August 14, 1983, in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn. He had a difficult childhood as his father was a drug dealer who was more inside prison than out of it. His mother was his rock and took over the role of both of his parents.
Morris graduated from Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Chicago, and attended the College of DuPage, also in Glen Ellyn.
He also trained at The Second City Training Center and performed with Second City’s Outreach And Diversity Ensemble.
