Jenifer Lewis was born Jenifer Jeanette Lewis, the youngest of seven children born to factory worker Edward James Lewis and a nurse’s aide, Dorothy Lewis.
Born on January 25, 1957, the 63-year-old is a native of Kinloch, Missouri. Jenifer stands at 5 feet 5½ inches (1.66 meters).
Lewis attended the nearby Kinloch High School and was a choir singer at the local church. After her graduation, Lewis attended Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri.
