Gustaf Skarsgård was born Gustaf Caspar Orm Skarsgård on November 12, 1980, the son of Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård and physician My Skarsgård. 

His father is an acclaimed actor in his own right and is most known for his roles in movies like Good Will Hunting, the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Mamma Mia!, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie franchise.

His older brother, Alexander, is perhaps the most accomplished and is known for his roles in the HBO vampire mystery series, True Blood, and drama series, Big Little Lies.

His younger brother, Bill, is most known for playing Pennywise in the 2017 feature-film adaptation of the Stephen King novel, It, and its sequel, 2019’s It Chapter Two.
