Fred Durst, 50, is an American vocalist, actor, and film director who rose to prominence as the frontman of the rap-rock band Limp Bizkit.
Durst made his acting debut in 2001 from the action comedy film Zoolander as himself and made his directorial debut in 2007 from The Education of Charlie Banks, followed by The Longshots in 2008. While the band was in a break, Durst worked in independent films. He made his acting debut as himself from the 2001 film Zoolander starring Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, and Christine Taylor.
In 2006, he appeared in the film Population 436 as Deputy Bobby Caine alongside Jeremy Sisto, Charlotte Sullivan, and Peter Outerbridge.
He made his directorial debut with the 2007 film The Education of Charlie Banks starring Jesse Eisenberg, Jason Ritter, and Eva Amurri. He also directed The Longshots starring Ice Cube and Keke Palmer.
