Elizabeth Reaser was born Elizabeth Ann Reaser on July 2, 1975, to attorney-turned-restaurateur-turned-substitute-teacher John Reaser and his wife, Karen Weidman.
The middle of three daughters, Reaser was born and raised in an affluent Bloomfield Hills suburb in Detroit, Michigan. After her parents divorced, her mother married businessman William Davidson in 1995.
Reaser attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills, and later transferred to Avondale High School in Auburn Hills, graduating in 1993.
After her graduation, she studied at Oakland University for a year before transferring to the esteemed Julliard School in New York City and graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drama.
