As of 2020, Domenico Dolce’s net worth is reported to be around $2.2 billion, according to Forbes. The 61 years old fashion designer is in the position of 1851 in the billionaires’ 2020 list. Back in October 2015, his worth was $1.74 billion. During the time, he was the 17th wealthiest person in Italy.

As per Bloomberg, the value of their company is around $5.3 billion. Dolce owns a 41.8% stake in the company, whereas his partner, Gabbana, has a 40% stake. Gabbana is also a billionaire and has a net worth of $2.1 billion.

Professional Career

Domenico and Stefano first met back in 1980, via his employer designer Giorgio Correggiari. Three years later, they left Giorgio to work on their own, and in 1985, they launched Dolce & Gabbana.

They made their brand debut at Milano Collezioni’s Nuovi Talenti. In the following year, they released the brand’s first collection and even held the show, Real Women.

Two years later, in 1987, they opened the first D&G store in Milan. The company continued expanding, firstly releasing lingerie and beachwear line, and then menswear line. In October 1991, the brand released its first fragrance, Dolce & Gabbana Parfum.

As mentioned above, D&G grabbed huge attention after Madonna chose the brand to design costumes for her Girlie Show World Tour. Now, they have designed for Kylie Minogue, Isabella Rossellini, Monica Bellucci, and Angelina Jolie.

The brand later attended lines, including belts, ties, sunglasses, footwear, handbags, and watches.
