Jae-Bum Takata, the man that would come to be known as Brian Tee, was born on March 15, 1977, in Okinawa, Japan.

The 44-year-old is Korean from his mother’s side and Japanese-American from his father’s side. When he turned two, his parents moved to the United States and settled in Southern California.

He graduated from Glen A. Wilson High School and attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he pursued a Bachelor in Arts degree in theater and performing arts.
