“Today, I want to support those on the front lines at our nation’s food banks and those who are relying on them for food with a $100 million gift to @FeedingAmerica. Feeding America will quickly distribute the funds to their national network of food banks and food pantries, getting food to those countless families who need it.”

Amazon also donated $25 million to the fund to help employees and workers battle the pandemic. However, the founder has been criticized for not providing PPE to Amazon workers.

In fact, he workers from around the Amazon warehouses have protested the company’s decision to stay open, risking workers’ health. Workers are also reporting a shortage in hand sanitizers and wipes, also adding that they are not provided with masks or gloves.
